When I was 8 years old, my parents asked me which camp I wanted to attend that summer, and all I can remember is begging them to let me go to riding camp. They were unsure at first because they knew it was a big responsibility, and they weren’t sure if I would like it. Turns out, I didn’t just like it, I loved it. Ever since camp, I can’t imagine my life without horses or this sport. After starting with non-rated shows for 2 years, I moved on to A-rated shows. I now train with Diane Weber and Jasmine Walsh. My competition highlights include 4th place in the Marshall & Sterling Medal Finals, 5th place in the Marshall & Sterling Bid O’ Straw, and 1st place in the NAL/WIHS Hunter Classic.
I am currently a junior at Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg, FL, and I am extremely focused on my academics, mainly my art. I am able to maintain a 3.4 GPA and am enrolled in all honors and AP classes except for two. When I am not practicing or competing, I enjoy spending time with my sisters and gardening.
Having the opportunity to ride at the collegiate level would mean the world to me and confirm all of the hard work I have put in. I really want to find the right college and team for me. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to go to college, and I am also very fortunate to be involved in this sport. This sport has taught me so much that I couldn’t have learned anywhere else. It has taught me responsibility, patience, and maturity. I cannot wait to have the opportunity to be part of a team!
